Terms of service

Terms of service

Updated 23 October 2026. This notice describes this informational site. It is not a notice for a bank or a wallet.

These terms govern your use of the public pages of this informational site. By reading them, you are not opening an account and you are not buying a payment product.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of digital-card-guide.com (the “Site”), published by Digital Card Guide (“we”, “us”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

2. What the Site is

The Site is an informational publication about digital payments and financial technology. We provide general explanations, definitions, and questions a reader may wish to consider. We do not open accounts, move money, issue cards, or operate a wallet.

3. Not advice, and not an offer

Nothing on the Site is financial, investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice. Nothing on the Site is a recommendation, solicitation, or offer to buy, sell, or hold any financial product, card, or account. Briefings describe categories of tools. They do not tell you what to do with your own money.

Your circumstances, and the terms of your own provider, matter more than a general description. Confirm current terms with that provider, or with a qualified adviser who knows your situation. Use of the Site does not create an advisory, fiduciary, brokerage, or client relationship.

4. No professional reliance

You may not rely on the Site as a substitute for the official terms, disclosures, or statements of a bank or other payment provider. Payment rules differ by country, network, and issuer, and they change. We try to describe practices accurately and to note when they vary. We do not promise that a page is complete or current for your location.

5. Who the Site is for

The Site is meant for a general adult audience. It is not directed at children under 16.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Site, interfere with its operation, or attempt to reach non-public areas. You agree not to probe or test the vulnerability of the Site except where the law expressly allows it. You agree not to use the Site to send unlawful, defamatory, or misleading material, and not to collect pages in a way that degrades the Site for other readers.

Do not send card numbers, account numbers, passwords, or another person’s personal information to our correspondence addresses. We may ignore a message that breaches this section, and we may block traffic that interferes with the Site.

7. Intellectual property

The text, arrangement, and names on the Site are owned by us or by our licensors, except where a passage is identified as belonging to someone else. You may read the Site and you may quote a short excerpt for personal, classroom, or news purposes if you credit Digital Card Guide and link to the original page.

You may not copy the Site wholesale, present a briefing as your own work, or use our name in a way that suggests we endorse a product. For any wider permission, write to legal@digital-card-guide.com.

8. Messages you send us

If you send a correction, a source, or another message, you grant us a non-exclusive right to use that material to operate and improve the publication, including by updating a briefing. You confirm that you have the right to send it. Do not send confidential information. We are not obliged to publish a correction, but we consider factual corrections in good faith.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of every kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, free of errors, or free of harmful code.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our editors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for any loss of money, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of the Site or your reliance on it, even if we have been advised of the possibility.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars, or the minimum amount the law requires if a floor applies. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, where such an exclusion would be unlawful.

12. Indemnity

If you misuse the Site, or you send us material that infringes another person’s rights, you agree to indemnify us against losses and reasonable legal costs arising from a third-party claim connected to that misuse, to the extent the law allows. We will tell you about such a claim promptly. We will not settle it in a way that admits fault on your behalf without your consent, which you will not unreasonably withhold.

13. Changes

We may add, revise, or remove briefings at any time. We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page and changing the date above. The new version applies from the time it is posted. If you continue to use the Site after that, you are agreeing to the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Site.

14. Restricting access

We may refuse correspondence, or restrict access to the Site, if we reasonably believe these Terms have been broken, or if we must do so to protect readers or the publication. Reading the public pages does not require an account. A restriction usually means blocking abusive traffic, not closing a profile.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, excluding conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts located in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of these Terms or the Site, except where a mandatory consumer-protection law in your place of residence gives you a non-waivable right to bring a claim somewhere else.

We may still seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect our intellectual property. If you are a consumer outside the United States, you may also have rights under the laws of your country that these Terms cannot waive.

16. General

If a court holds one part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest stay in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site. They do not create rights for any other person, except that a limitation of liability that protects our editors may be relied on by them. Headings are for convenience only.
